Printer profiles allow automatic color compensation for differences in printers and media configurations as well as the effects of resolution and dot pattern on an output. Although you can print a job using no profiles at all, using ICC Profiles produces greater color fidelity.

Select the Media Profile:

1. Select the [Printer and Media] tab.
2. Select the [Printer], [Media Group], [Media Name], and [Print Mode] that fits the media substrate you are printing on.

Select Color Management Preset:

1. Select the [Printer and Media] tab.
2. In the [Color Management] area, select Color Profile. By default, the setting is [All ICC profiles On]. Select the desired profile for your workflow using drop-down menu.

To change a profile:

1. In the [Color Management] area, click [Change Profile…] button (Figure 2).
2. Select the input profiles, output profiles, and rendering intents you want to use.
3. Set options you want to use, and click [OK].
